Our Team is Dynamic! Between the two of them, Pam and Gabriel have served in every level of office from Precinct to State Executive Committee. They have both been candidates, lead party auxiliaries and other professional or non-profit organizations, and have extensive campaign operations experience.

Pam Genant
Pam Genant is the daughter of a fisherman. With a mother dedicated to her community and a father that did everything he needed to do, every day, to put food on the table, she learned two important values that have stayed with her her whole life; help your neighbor and always work hard. She is no stranger to public service, as a nurse and a United States Army officer, serving during Operation Desert Storm, she has learned to commit to a mission and see it through to completion. She is a wife and mother and has lived in rural counties all her life, including her current home of Burke County, NC, where she has lived with her family for over 25 years.

She has served on the Board of Directors for two North Carolina Homeschool organizations, and serves currently on the Board of Directors for the Burke United Christian Ministries. She was the Burke County Democratic Party treasurer before being elected and serving as the Burke County Democratic Party chairman, stepping back to run for Congress in 2022.

Pam has taken DNC and NCDP training, as well as social media marketing classes and several candidate training programs including the Bold Progressives candidate training. Along with years of practical experience in party and organizational leadership positions, these programs have helped her become a well rounded organizer and strategic planner.
​
As a candidate for Lt. Governor of NC, Pam traveled North Carolina and visited all 100 of our counties. Over those two months, she saw the struggles of many Democratic entities to organize themselves. Her passion for outreach and connection within the Democratic Party brings infectious excitement and energy to the PAC.

Gabriel Sherwood
Gabriel Sherwood is a 5th generation veteran after service in the US Navy. Gabriel was raised between California, the Carolinas, and Texas, by veterans and union workers and working poor and even a few professionals. From their hard work he learned that we all must do our part to support our families, our professional goals, and our communities. Through struggles of one type or another, both his birth and custodial parents imparted a desire to serve and a sense of civic duty.

He is father to two adults and a ten year old, and a grandfather of one, and works to see the future for all North Carolinian kids is protected and prosperous.
​
He has served in party leadership on the precinct and county level and represented Catawba County in the 5th District and in the State Executive Committee of the NCDP. He has been a volunteer, a volunteer coordinator, a data director, a campaign manager for candidates for NC Senate and Lt. Governor. He has also worked for the NCDP as an organizer in 2016 and a regional organizing director in 2022. He was President of the Catawba Valley Democratic Veterans and ran for Catawba County Commissioner in 2020. He has been a member of the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce, the American Legion, the NAACP, the ACLU, the Springs Road Gun Club, and served on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Hickory and Public Image Committee Chair.

Gabriel holds an Associate of Arts from Catawba Valley Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Public Leadership from NC State, and is nearing completion of a Master of Public Administration.
